Tours during the Congress
The Social Tours are sold individually and open to all Congress participants and spouses.
Choose your favorite way to discover Vancouver and to explore surrounding areas. All tours will be organized by Venue West, the Official Travel Agency appointed for the Congress and located in Vancouver. Tours will depart and return from the Vancouver Convention Centre. Venue West will also operate a booth on the site of the Congress and sell tour packages to participants. The booth will be located close to the Congress Registration Desk. Other tours and excursions will be available upon request.

VANCOUVER AQUARIUM AND STANLEY PARK

The tour begins with a motorcoach ride around the coastal Seawall of world famous Stanley Park. Spanning 1,000 acres, Stanley Park is noted as one of North America's largest inner city parks, offering an entertaining variety of attractions and amenities. Participants are treated to a fully escorted walking tour in Stanley Park which includes Beaver Park, the Children's Farm Yard, Lost Lagoon and the Totem Poles at Brockton Point. Also included in this tour is a visit of the Vancouver Aquarium, the largest aquarium containing in Canada over 8,000 species of marine life.

A deluxe motorcoach will take participants along the stunning Sea to Sky Highway which overlooks spectacular Howe Sound, with its striking views of the waterways and Coastal Mountains. In addition, guests will be treated to a stop at Shannon Falls. At over 1000 feet it is one of North America’s highest waterfalls. In Whistler, guests will have free time to explore the village or enjoy lunch at one of the many fine restaurants the resort has to offer. There is also ample time to take an optional Gondola Ride to the top of Whistler Mountain. The park and forest surroundings offer wonderful hiking trails and bicycle paths.
